My review of Watchesbeach.net was pretty disappointing. Shopping at this kind of site is kind of like buying a lottery ticket – it's so cheap you say “well, I might as well…” but almost inevitably you end up feeling like you've thrown your money away. Even though I didn't spend a fortune with these guys I still feel like I should have known better. At least now I can pass what I've learned about them onto you: these guys aren't worth it!
Quality: Are These Watches Any Good?
Here's where things really get ugly (literally).The Rolex replica GMT they sent me was horrendous – the bezel fell off the moment I unwrapped it. I don't expect much from an $80 Rolex replica, but I'd like it to stay in one piece! But even if it hadn't fallen apart, the weight was way too light and it looked nothing like an authentic GMT.
The Site: Usability and Design
While it is simple and easy to browse, I have to say that this site is just plain bad! It's just row after row of random watch pictures taken from other sites, still with the original watermarks on them. Most have poor descriptions or none at all, and there are limited photos for each product. They also seem to offer some strange discounts, such as the “55hdiscount of $86.00” that they display prominently in their top banner.
Service: Is Their Staff Any Good?
Well, at least these guys don't pretend to have a live chat – that's the only positive thing I can think of! They only do email, and it's always at least two or three days before you get a response, often longer.
Shipping: Is It Fast and Reliable?
It took 10 working days for delivery which is fine. No tracking number though, and it wasn't packaged very well. The box looked all beat-up, and considering it came by EMS there's no reason it should have had a rough trip.
Return Policy: Is It Reasonable?
Sending the watch back would mean losing the shipping fees and a restocking fee, so I just took it to my guy to get it fixed up. If he can get it to remain in one piece maybe I'll give it to one of my nephews.
The Bottom Line
My review of Watchesbeach.net was pretty much a disaster from start to finish. Even for cheap little $60 – $90 watches, you can do much better than these guys.
